A Melody of Scales - Physics Refining and Scoring


Thanks to all the players who provided feedback on the game! v2 adjusts some physics components and adds a couple more things too.

  • Grail now accelerates slightly slower when falling without spacebar.
  • Knockback collisions and explosions are now partially elastic, that is to say they impart some of their knockback velocity onto whatever they collide with and any within the explosion radius. Great if you're the type of person who likes watching domino chains. This may or may not defy the conservation of energy.
  • Added support for fullscreen and two resolutions.
  • Scoring system: There are now 5 score grades: F, C, B, A, and S. Score is based on how fast you completed the level and whether or not you satisfied a unique secret mission condition! S ranking is only possible by scoring an A on the time requirement AND completing the secret condition. 
  • Backend: Added an event-listener system for in game events that will come in very handy later down the line. Does nothing yet however.
